Announcing the Appointment of the IBMA Executive Director
At the request of a majority of IBMA members during the General Assembly in October 2008 it was decided that IBMA needed to employ an Executive Director to help in the management and promotion of our Association.
At the General Assembly in October 2009, the Triumvirate was able to announce that a suitable candidate has been found for this position. We are now in a position to confirm that the David Cary has been appointed as Executive Director.
David Cary is an entomologist, coming to us from a member company where as Market Development Manager he had a wide experience in managing and promoting the use of biocontrol products, liaising and lobbying with regulators, supermarkets and other stakeholders.
He is currently employed on a fixed contract basis for one year, until further funding can be obtained to ensure that this position can be retained.
David will work on a number of projects with the assistance of Ulf Heilig (Regulatory Consultant to IBMA), Sara Chatham (General Secretary), and Members of the Executive Committee under the guidance of the President and Triumvirate on projects that have been proposed and approved by the Executive Committee.
